FITMENT NOTES:
The Flex-Six (F-6) ignition relocation is a nice Option. It puts the Ignition Key between the rear cylinder and the battery cover for an even Cleaner Look!
The quick-release for the fuel valve on some 48's & 72's will touch the plastic housing of the relocated key switch. This can be alleviated by choosing the Flex-Six option, or by cutting a small portion of the plastic housing.
For Custom Sportsters that have the cowbell horn on the side, look at our Horn Kits! You can relocate your Coil AND have a horn!
If you have a CANbus bike (2014-Up Sportster or 2012-Up Dyna) choose the CANbus option to get the additional circuitry that enables the Push-Button LED Switch to work with your CANbus equipped bike.

easy to do 2 people found this helpfulI did a tank lift and wire tuck and I wanted to clean up my "engine compartment" for lack of a better description further with the coil/ ignition relocation kit at the same time.

Eh….. 1 people found this helpfulFirst off I love the look of the relocation. Fits the lines of the bike so much better. My issue resides with the hole tolerances of the mount. The coil mount holes are entirely too large for a 1/4-20 bolt. The slop jostles the coil when around while tightening and makes it difficult to ensure a straight install. The head mounting slot is too long. This should be a tighter and more precise hole. The elongated gap is highlight by the machined aluminum surface of the head shining thru the black mount. A thicker plate/wider plate with an exact machined pocket would look amazing. I would pay more for that as well. I was expecting “Premium” over eBay/Amazon and I’m not exactly seeing it. The price is definitely “Premium”. Lastly it wouldn’t hurt to include 2 nylon locking nuts and stainless washers.

I also ordered a new set of black plug wires. Install was super smooth. The look and function are a great look to the bike.

Instructions are okay, but I have the HD service manual and there are plenty of Youtube videos with how to and tips. Quality of the parts and the finished look are excellent. I have purchased several parts from DK and have not been disappointed.

Slick looks and possible increase in air flow. 0 people found this helpfulI initially only wanted to relocate the coil on my Iron 883 since I liked the look of it mounted to the engine with red wires. When I looked into this kit I was also persuaded to look into lifting my tank and tucking the wires and so I did it all! I can’t believe I once thought these mods were “stupid and unnecessary” when the only thing that was “stupid and unnecessary” was my crappy attitude! My bike looks so much better and I really do believe the increased air flow to the top of my motor is only good. Can’t argue with style! DK custom is where it is at!
